NOTE - The parade was moved to a night parade this year past year, and got underway at 7 p.m. It was very pretty under the lights and the weather was nice.
Mrs. Claus and Freddy the Reindeer Feeder (actually he is the Caretaker, but likes to be called the Reindeer feeder) joined us this past year for the 2011 Christmas Parade through downtown Damascus. Following the parade, we visited with children and families inside the Volunteer Fire Department building. Children (of all ages) talked with Santa, Mrs. Claus and Elf Freddy, telling them what they wanted, asking questions and taking photos. Refreshments were made available, courtesy of the Town of Damascus and the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department.
